Growth & operations

  • Joined in 2014 as the business’s first employee, helping build it alongside my graduate editorial scheme.
  • Played a central role in its growth, with my responsibilities evolving as the business developed; later became Director of Operations.
  • Worked across wholesale and retail sales, distribution, client relationships, marketing and team leadership.
  • Helped expand the business through retailers including Liberty and Anthropologie, alongside Not On The High Street and Etsy.
  • Stepped away amicably in October 2022 and retain an interest in the business.

Editorial Training Scheme

  • Joined the Daily Mail’s graduate editorial training scheme.
  • Earlier work experience in 2012 included MailOnline news and the RightMinds political section: researching stories, preparing pictures and captions, and taking articles through to publication under tight deadlines.

CF Commercial Property Consultants

  • Marketing, PR and media communications alongside research analysis.
  • Work included social and brand strategy, market research, database management, pitch writing and field research.

BoxSweet

  • Led the relaunch of a sweet-shop e-commerce business, building a Shopify store with more than 200 products and writing HTML, CSS and JavaScript for the storefront.
  • The venture did not succeed commercially, but taught me a great deal about product presentation, distribution and starting a business.

BuyACredit · PR & media

  • Handled press outreach and media enquiries for school friends raising funds for a feature film.
  • The project attracted national and international coverage, with supporters including Stephen Fry, Jude Law, Whoopi Goldberg and Joanna Lumley.

  • Started a video production company with school friends, filming weddings and events and producing an official school promotional film.
